Northwoods Surgery Center, a joint venture between local surgeons and Aspirus Wausau Hospital,  opened in 2008 with 2 operating rooms.  Accredited by Medicare and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), the Center’s physicians perform ophthalmology,  pain management and podiatry procedures.  Northwoods Surgery Center holds an active membership in the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.
